Favorite Quote: “Education would be much more effective if its purpose was to ensure that by the time they leave school every boy and girl should know how much they do not know, and be imbued with a lifelong desire to know it” -William Haley

 frazRodney Frazier

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas surrounded by supportive family members who pushed me to be at my best at all times. My single parent mother embraced her dual role as a parent and an educator with the Dallas Independent School District, which has largely shaped who I am today. The value of service has driven my path in life and I honed that skill for nine years as a restaurant manager before I was called to give back as an educator. In 2010, I worked as an intervention specialist and Algebra I instructor for Uplift Education while working to complete my Bachelor’s in Sociology at The University of Texas at Dallas. Currently, I serve as a college counselor for Uplift Peak Preparatory, where I am privileged to see first-generation college students surpass academic milestones set by family members before them. I can truly say the only aspect of my life that can measure up to that feeling is coming home to my wife, Kelly Frazier, and our two sons Joshua and Nicholas.

Favorite Quote: “All men dream : but not equally.  Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind wake in the day to find that it was vanity:  but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, to make it possible”  -T.E.
